Exact Change is the leading currency exchange retailer at Madrid’s Barajas Airport, with seven outlets in both the departures and arrivals halls. With competition for customers tight, and commission payments to the airport operator a key consideration, Exact Change decided digital signage screens was needed to attract the punters.
Turning to Realisation for a solution, we worked against tight deadlines to recommend screens from Hyundai , their local distributor Reparation Monfer and DS media systems from ONELAN.
Aside from the hardware, we provided Exact Change with extensive consultancy and planning services, as well as full content creation and finally, publishing to the network.
The choice of ONELAN was critical, providing Exact Change with the required system functionality in the short term as well as the platform to develop an application that would integrate with flight arrivals and departures. The beauty of this is that the DS screens will carry content aimed at passengers boarding and disembarking from specific flights, with currency deals tailored for them. So passengers coming in from New York will be offered US dollar to Euro deals at just the point they are considering that purchase.
Behind that simple thought and proposition lies a great deal of complexity, with 200 individual items of content and more than 50 playlists in 10 different languages to be scheduled on 8 video walls across 5 screen configurations.
