Dixons

Realisation has worked with the Dixons Store Group for many years, dating way back to the 1990s when we convinced them to use their TV wall as a promotional channel. Since then we have tackled a whole bunch of projects, most recently with the TechGuys and then KnowHow brands.

During that time we have been involved in a wide range of in-store digital signage projects that have helped position and promote the IT support service these brands represent.

In 2008 we created the first in-store digital presence for the TechGuys. This was followed by a relaunch a year later when we took the flat ‘Techling ‘ characters and gave them the Realisation 3D animation treatment, bringing the guys to life using our modelling and CGI skills.

We then created a series of animations with the TechGuys in various scenarios, explaining the services in a clear and engaging way. This was imperative, as there was no above the line support for the brand.

We also edited the content for different zones in-store, reflecting customer behaviour and the shopper journey. What about the results? Well, in just three months The TechGuys sales in the trial store rose to 8% of total sales, against a target of just 1%.

Fast forward to 2011 and Realisation was on hand to help launch the TechGuys’ successor, KnowHow, across the whole Dixons estate.

KnowHow is a complete, business-wide rebrand of Dixons’ retail service offering. Our work features simple, product-led executions and slick animations that communicate proposition and benefits clearly and succinctly.
